Farming, of all kinds, is my passion. I started my career at Seale-Hayne Agricultural College in Devon, and have managed farmland, crops and livestock ever since. I am now the Farms Manager at Overbury. Fanatical about the education of everybody about, growing healthy crops, farming, food production, using technology, conservation and rural life. I think the new program of free farm advice being offered b the LWA may be useful for some of your readers!
ere's some info:
We are delighted to announce the launch of our Future Farming Resilience Program, which has been developed in partnership with the Pasture Fed Livestock Association, and Organic Research Centre.
This program of advice will aim to help farmers and land managers prepare for the Agriculture Transition. It will encourage and support the integration of resilience into all aspects of farming systems; looking at agroecological land-management, shortening supply chains, and resilient financial practices.
Our support for farmers includes:
A transition toolkit Sector specific films showcasing case studies Farmer to farmer webinars One to one advisory services Peer support networks
The program kicks off on the 30th of September, with the launch of our Future Farming Resilience Webinar Series.
This program of 20 webinars, has been designed to help farmers to identify what changes and adaptations they can make to build resilience into their farm businesses. The webinars also provide a crucial space for farmers to meet, and be supported in building peer-to-peer networks.
The first half of the webinar program is now live and open for bookings!
How to sign up:
To qualify for the resilience program, farmers and land managers must currently be in receipt of BPS. Sign up to access our full program of support here!
Once signed up, participants will receive booking information for the webinar series, along with further information on how to access each stream of support we’re offering.
Please share widely with your networks - we want to reach as many farmers as possible who would benefit from our support.
If you have any questions about the Future Farming Resilience Program, please feel free to get in touch at: bryher.bloor@landworkersalliance.org.uk
Direct deposit payday loans are a great way to get quick access to cash when you need it most. They’re also a much safer option than carrying around large amounts of cash. A payday loan is a short-term loan that you take out for a specific period of time. The amount of time that the loan is supposed to be paid back is usually only as long as your paychecks last.
